Contact Lenses
We have led west central Minnesota in fitting contact lenses. We were fitting soft contacts on a regular basis when others were still fitting hard. We were the first to fit astigmatism soft lenses. We were the first to switch to two week disposable lenses. We were the first to have the Acuvue soft bifocal lens. Our contact lens selection is impressive with special orders always available. We are dedicated to providing you with long term success in wearing contact lenses.
What can you expect from our office when we personally fit you for contact lenses? We begin with a comprehensive evaluation of the health of your eyes. Second, the doctor does the fitting - not a technician “down the hall”. Yes we do rely on our staff and they are well trained to teach you how to insert, remove and handle your contacts. But the doctor designs and fits the contacts. We see you for the follow-up care. We judge when the contact lens fits well. In our office the doctor is the one most involved in seeing that you are a successful contact lens patient!!! We have many patients now wearing contacts that were previously unsuccessful, or only partially successful with their earlier contact lens fits elsewhere.
We provide competitive pricing when compared to the online contact lens companies! In addition, if you purchase your contact lenses from our office you will receive a 25% discount on frame and lenses for your glasses!

Although we utilize many fits, designs, materials and companies to find the very best contact lens fit for you, we most frequently utilize Cooper Vision Contact Lenses and Acuvue Contact Lenses.
Certainly our most common contact lens fit is the two week disposable lens. We started fitting the Acuvue lens in 1988 and by 1990 fifty percent of our contact lens fits were disposable. Currently nearly all our spherical patients are in two to four week disposable contact lenses. The one day disposable lens is a great choice for patients who want to wear contacts only for special occasions. This year has already presented many great updates to contact lens materials and we would love to fit you with contact lenses!
Can we fit you?? Almost assuredly YES! Certainly there are exceptions but nearly anyone can wear contact lenses. (The exceptions would be extreme dry eyes or a few other eye conditions that make contact lenses uncomfortable.) But remember, we have fit regular nearsightedness, farsightedness, high amounts of nearsightedness, astigmatism, and bifocals. |
