Our Practice

When Dr. Thos Smith first opened his practice in Fergus Falls he made a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality in eye care for the local community.  Since that time, the staff and doctors that have joined InVision Eye Care, P.A. have dedicated themselves to upholding that commitment.  We are constantly seeking ways to improve our skills, learn innovative ways to meet patients’ visual needs and keeping the latest technology available.  The InVision Eye Care eye care team is continuing this tradition of excellence. We enjoy working and living in Ottertail County and helping to improve the quality of life of the community of which we are a part. 

Drs. Smith, Hanson and Kempfer spend approximately 30-45 minutes with each patient to do a thorough eye examination which includes patient history, visual acuity, pupillary responses, eye movements, binocular vision testing, accommodation, spectacle prescription update and eye health. Your eye health exam will include testing for certain retinal problems such as macular degeneration and glaucoma as well as systemic diseases such as diabetes, stroke and high blood pressure. These conditions can lead to serious health problems including partial loss of vision or blindness and can often develop without warning and progress with no symptoms.
